General manager with full P&L responsibility for a consultancy and interim firm in IT and data, backed by an investor and growing through acquisitions.

A consultancy and interim firm in IT and data is hiring a general manager. The firm is growing fast, has an investor on board and wants to more than double revenue in three years, partly through acquisitions. You own the P&L, chair the management team and set the course. The commercial director and the operations director report to you. Here you make your money with consultants who are billable, at the right rate, and who want to stay. Interim and consultancy work differently. You make them worth more together. What you will do: - Run revenue, margin, cash flow and return, and answer for them to shareholders and the investor. - Balance utilisation, hourly rates and bench, so good consultants stay. - Make interim and consultancy strengthen each other. - Find and assess acquisition targets and lead the negotiations, together with shareholders and advisers. Then integrate what you bought. - Drive growth. Sales and the largest clients sit with the commercial director, you help decide where growth comes from. - Build a management structure that can carry twice the size. What you bring: - Final responsibility for a consultancy or interim firm, ideally a combination of both. - The P&L was yours and you chaired the management team. - You are an entrepreneur: you built and grew a business, and the numbers show it. - Experience with the first phase of an acquisition: finding targets, assessing them and negotiating. - A grasp of where growth comes from, and the ability to move an organisation towards it. - Experience with an investor or private equity as a shareholder. - Ideally you live within an hour of the office in the south of the Netherlands. What you get: - The lead of a firm with an investor that wants to hold it for a long time. - A management team with a commercial and an operations director. - A fixed salary with a bonus on results and a bonus on the growth targets. The process is confidential: we share the client's name in a first conversation. After that you talk to the board and the founder, take an assessment, and meet the consultants and the investor.
