Back-end software engineer (Python, Java, Go or C#, AWS) for a security and safety technology company at an airport in the Randstad region.
Software engineer (junior/medior) for a client in security and safety technology at an airport in the Randstad region.
Stack: Python, Java, Go, C# (back-end), AWS.
The client builds software and hardware for security and safety at the airport: access management, key and asset management, and the systems behind them. When something fails, the airport notices immediately. That is why the client is looking for a software engineer who works carefully and takes responsibility for what runs in production.
You work on the back-end: services that process data, control devices and integrate with the airport's systems. You do not need to master all four languages. You do need to know one well and be willing to learn the others. The infrastructure runs on AWS. Experience with it is a plus, not a requirement.
What you will do:
- Build and maintain back-end services in Python, Java, Go or C#
- Fix bugs, write tests and make sure your code is production ready
- Contribute to integrations with hardware and with external systems at the airport
- Pick up tasks from the sprint and deliver them as agreed
- Document what you build so a colleague can take it over
What we ask:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering, computer science or similar, or demonstrably equivalent level
- 0 to 5 years of experience as a software engineer
- Good knowledge of at least one of these languages: Python, Java, Go, C#
- Experience with AWS is a plus
- Sense of responsibility: you stand behind what you deliver
- Not a visionary, but someone who wants to learn and execute: you get a clear assignment and finish it
- You ask questions when something is unclear and flag it early when something does not work out
- Dutch or English at a professional level
What we offer:
- A permanent position at a technology company with a product that is used every day
- A small team with short lines, where you get responsibility quickly
- Room to learn new languages and AWS, guided by experienced engineers
- Hybrid working: 2 days a week from home. During onboarding at most 1 day a week, because you first need to get to know the hardware, the team and the airport
- Salary and conditions matching your experience
- Based at the airport. A screening is mandatory because of working at the airportAutres offres de cet employeur
